Music Program

Traditional Drumming Music Program 

Mouse Mountain school is grateful for the opportunity to offer a drumming & singing music program every week to all classes with local Indigenous artist/storyteller and cultural teacher, Mrs. Candice George. This program gives all classes an opportunity to learn from Mrs. George as they participate in traditional drumming and singing. Children also continue their learning of Carrier language through song. The program supports our district and school goals of honouring diversity and creating more cultural learning opportunities for students in school. Children showcase their learning for families at school drumming performance in June. 

Grade 3 Music Program

Mouse Mountain School offers students in grade three a choice of an introductory ukulele program or a foundational music & rythym program. Lessons occur once per week with several recitals (for the ukulele program) throughout the year.
